FAQ – users

What levels of membership are there for this site?

1) Subscriber – you can read posts and comment on them. This is the level you’re assigned when you register.
2) Contributor – you can create posts and manage your posts, but they are only published on approval from an editor.
3) Author – you can publish and manage your own posts.
4) Editor – you can publish and manage all posts.
5) Administrator aka God-like Deity – that would be me. I can do anything (muahahahaha).

Why are there different levels of membership?

To try and eliminate random spammers.

I’m a Subscriber, when will I be able to create my own posts?

If you’re someone I know, you’ll be upgraded to Author as fast as I can get round to it.
If you’re not someone I know, then you’ll need to comment a few times before you’re upgraded to Contributor.  Once you’ve had a few posts approved, then you’ll be upgraded to Author.

I’ve put the URL of my website in my profile; why isn’t it shown as a link under Members’ Sites?

Only sites which are about writing are shown there. General blogs, journals and so on are not.
