It’s 2008…
Happy New Year!
How did it get to be January already?! December went by so fast (and so unproductively for me, in writing terms).
What are your writing and reading resolutions for the new year?
One of my resolutions is to write every day – be it part of a novel or short story or a poem or a blog entry. So that’s sort of a cheat really, since blogging is a lot easier for me than ‘proper’ writing… but I was pretty lax in my blogging last year too, so hopefully I can put more effort in this year.
My other writing resolution is to submit at least one thing for competition and/or publication this year. With the deadline for the Brian Moore short story awards looming in less than 4 weeks, I’d better get a move on!
And my reading resolution for the year is of course the one outlined here. I’m still trying to think of books to read for it though! I might just have to wander through the library and see what I can see.
